I am sure that this is only one of thousands of letters you have received about your shampoo, sprays and food supplement, but I just had to write to you, too.

I have a 13-year-old soft-coated Wheaten Terrier who was neglected for about three years and her skin became so bad that it turned black and thick and cracked, not only in the hairless areas but also in the hairy areas of her body. She was miserable and I nearly had her put down last year after spending literally hundreds of dollars on every preparation you can imagine. My vet will readily admit that her skin is the very worst he has encountered in his 15-year practice. Last year I ran across some material about your products and tried them. (My dog) is 100% better and can actually go for a week without a bath. (I was having to bathe her every other day or so). She does not smell as bad and is certainly far more comfortable. If I could have had your product three years ago, it would have made a world of difference. All-in-1 Flea Relief Shampoo for dogs

Hi:

I recently purchased a bottle of All-in-1 d-Limonene and oatmeal shampoo (All-in-1 Flea Relief Shampoo). My dog cannot be exposed to traditional flea products, as her liver is in early failure, so I thought I'd give this a try. This is the first shampoo in ages that has not irritated or dried out her skin. Usually I bathe her and her skin turns pink for a few days. Not this time -- it really relieved her itchiness, her fleas are gone, and her fur is really soft and shiny. She looks great! Her skin isn't flaking, she's not driven to distraction with scratching. All-in-1 Flea Relief Shampoo for cats

I am writing in reference to your All-in-1 Flea and Tick Oatmeal Shampoo for cats. I wanted to let you know that it is the best flea shampoo I have ever used on Chloe, my nine-year-old long-haired cat. Not only was the shampoo effective -- no more fleas -- but it left Chloe with the softest, silkiest coat she has ever had! She really looks beautiful. The other flea shampoos I have used left her fur very dry and course, and it tangled and formed knots which later had to be cut out. After using the oatmeal shampoo, however, her hair dried without tangling and combed out beautifully. Best of all, it did not irritate her eyes, make her cry, salivate, shake or otherwise bother her. I just had to write to tell you what a wonderful product you have in the Veterinarian's Best "Stop-the-Itch" bundle.

About six months ago, my 1-year-old cocker spaniel developed a nasty skin sore on her face. I took her to the vet and the veterinarian tested her for several different things: gave Myla (my dog) a shot, prescribed pills, and sent us home. I gave my dog her pills daily as instructed, but the sore (a pussy and bloody patch about two inches around) did not improve. I continued taking Myla to the vet weekly for four weeks with no real sign of improvement. Finally, I thought I would look into other possible remedies on my own. I went to the pet store and found your "Stop-the-Itch" bundle and decided to give it a try. After one week of use, including bathing and giving the Vita-Derm Food Supplement daily, the sore was completely healed, and I continued to use the food supplement daily and the bath products weekly.

Myla was happy and healthy after that until about a month ago when I ran out of the food supplement (Vita-Derm), and the next week discovered she had another sore developing on her face that was almost identical to the first. I immediately picked up the food supplement at the pet store and within a week the sore was healing well. I have bought extra food supplement (Vita-Derm), so I don't run out in the future.

Dear Dr. Thomas:

My name is "Sophie." I am a 4-year-old shepherd-mix (mutt). Over the past two years I've developed some terrible allergies. It was very painful and frustrating. My lower back near my tail was the worst area; I would bite and chew this area until it was red and raw. Sometimes I would keep my parents awake at night because I could not control my itching, biting, chewing and licking. My skin became very dry and itchy and scabby; even worse, I developed a horrible odor.

Sometimes my parents did not even want me inside the house. This problem was more persistent in the summer months when fleas are a disaster in Dallas where we live. Although my parents did everything to make me more comfortable including brushing and bathing me frequently as well as spraying our yard consistently, we still could not remedy my problem. After a bath I would feel and smell better for a day or two, but the problem would return. My doctor would give me occasional shots of low-dose steroids as well as other drugs to be taken orally. My parents spent so much money on prescriptions including Baytril and Keflex among more expensive ones.

While I was taking the medicine I would feel better, but it seemed that a few days after finishing a prescription I would begin to smell again -- which was a bad sign. No one knew what else to do. However, we all were in agreement that I should not take drugs long-term. My doctor recommended taking me to another doctor -- a dermatologist so that they could make up an antigen especially for me.

This is when my Mom spotted (Veterinarian's Best) Stop-the-Itch at our favorite (pet supply) store. She bought the 4-step program for an early Christmas gift for me and I have been on the treatment for about 5 weeks now. I am writing this letter to inform you of my progress. I feel so much better and I smell great! I get bathes once a week with the Hypoallergenic Shampoo and the Moisture Mist conditioner. If needed, I get sprayed between baths with the Hot Spot Itch Relief Spray and the conditioner.

Already my lower back is less flaky and itchy. My Dad puts Vita-Derm into my dry-food breakfast. At first I did not like it but now I do. I will soon need another bottle. Thank you very much for your wonderful skin care program because we are all much happier. We realize that the summer months will still be difficult with the annoying fleas on the rise, but we think Stop-the-Itch will make a difference. I still get a little bit dirty, after all I am a dog, but I no longer have that foul-bacteria odor!!

You are a God-send to dog owners! I can't say enough about your Hot Spot Spray. My dog, Buster, suffers terribly from flea bites. We live, unfortunately, next door to a humanoid who has two dogs that have never been treated for fleas. I can't imagine anyone being so heartless and uncaring. I have reported him numerous times to the Humane Society here, but nothing gets done.

Buster is half Lhasa Apso and half Terrier, and all friend. To see him suffer for so long with the agony of his constant scratching and chewing was heartbreaking. Now we no longer have that problem, thanks to your (Hot Spot) Spray. It got so bad that he was losing large chunks of hair and his skin was in awful shape, swollen and irritated.

Dear Dr. Thomas:

I recently tried Vet's Best at the urging of a clerk at (a pet store) in Morrestown, NJ. She told me she has three dogs, has used the product and that she'd just seen a training film that showed dogs so afflicted with hot spots their humans were ready to put them to sleep to stop their suffering. (In a few days, she said, the dogs were getting better and their hair was starting to grow back.) So I bought a bottle, hoping I wasn't throwing $8 down the drain.

It worked like magic on my beloved dog, Cleo. She'd had a terrible hot spot in the summer and I had to take her to the vet's for treatment. He gave her a shot, gave me steroid pills to give her for a few weeks, and told me to spray her with bitter apple so she wouldn't chew at herself. It cost me $65, but I did what he said. I couldn't get the spray on her (she yelped when I tried to spray it on her) and the pills made her thirsty so she drank a lot and then peed on the furniture and rugs (something she would never do unless she couldn't help herself).

So I was thrilled with Vet's Best. In 2-3 days her skin condition (huge, itchy, scaly chunks of dermatitis) started to pull away from her skin and flake off (like dandruff). Underneath was healthy, pink skin! I kept spraying her over the next few weeks and she's now fine. (Even the doggie dandruff is almost gone.) And it didn't cost me $65 and she didn't have to be on steroids and I didn't have to watch her suffer (or pee on everything).

Cleo's puppy, Tricksy, also lives with me and she, too, has had skin problems this fall. (The vet says pollen allergies are at the root of the problem). So I'm using your product on her, too -- on Saturday morning, she was fine but by Saturday night she had a huge, ugly, red, excruciating hot spot on her fanny. I did her real good with Vet's Best and in two hours she'd stopped scratching and the redness was gone! (There's a little red scab left in the middle of the hot spot area and I keep squirting that with Vet's Best.)

Thank you so much for what you've done for my dogs! I'm divorced and unemployed and I just couldn't afford to keep taking them to the vet's every 2-3 weeks. (And I just hate the idea of them being on long-term steroid treatment.) Now, thanks to you, I can treat them quickly and effectively at home with a natural product that's like a miracle cure.

To Whom It May Concern:

Five months ago we acquired a homeless mixed terrier. Where this little loving dog came from is a mystery.

We watched for signs, we read pet lost ads, to no avail.

Because this dog is so gentle and sweet, I knew she had been loved.

I wish I had taken pictures of before and after, she had bald spots, scabs, her tail was completely furless, she looked so bad I assume she wandered for a very long time.

I tried everything on the market, I truly could not afford a vet. One day my husband and I stopped in (a pet store) on Edgewater Drive, Orlando, Florida. There we saw your product Hot Spot. It sold for $10.00 and even with finances being as bad as they were something inside said, "buy it."

Well, let me tell you I swear it's a miracle. I began to spray, then mixed it with her shampoo. Her hair is fully grown back, she gets an occasional itch but nothing compared to before.

Each day before its use, I'd find fleas she'd pick up on our walks. No more. They're gone and the best part is she's yet to have any. We walk everyday, yet not a single flea!

Hot Spot Spray and Hot Spot Shampoo

We have a 14-year-old Maltese terrier who for years has suffered from a skin affliction, diagnosed as "allergy to fleas." We tried many remedies, including anti-histamine pills, cortisone creams, and a hundred others -- but nothing helped.

I wanted to write and thank you for wonderful products!

I am a veterinary technician and have tried virtually every shampoo and spray on the market formulated for pruritic animals. We have shelves and shelves full of over-the-counter and prescription products at the animal hospital where I am employed, and I have found them to provide minimal or no relief to the animals I've used them on, including my own dog.

A groomer friend told me about your products when I expressed frustration and disappointment in treating the "itchy" dogs and cats presented in hospital, as well as my own dog who suffers from chronic dry skin and a hypersensitivity to flea bites. It was beginning to look as if I would have to start my dog on steroids to give her relief from her incessant chewing and scratching -- something I was very reluctant to do. It was approximately six weeks ago that I tried your Veterinarian's Best products. My dog is an 11-year-old German Shepherd. I was told that because of the poor and deteriorating skin condition, I was looking at a serious decision that I did not want to have to face at this time. But when your dog, who is also a good friend, looks at you with such a pathetic expression, you have to do something.

I have a 13-1/2-year-old cat that has hyperthyroidism. He has to be medicated twice a day and is doing quite well except he doesn't groom himself much anymore. His fur was a mess -- matted, dry, flaky. I saw your product in (a pet store) and bought it hoping it would help my Bellamy. I started using it -- applying it once a day and giving him a good brushing afterward.
